With the safety and health of people in mind, we’ve decided to close Revival Floatation Centre to see how this whole Covid-19 thing pans out in the next few weeks.
We would like to make it clear that we have had no specific cause for concern at our centre and that our decision to close is purely precautionary.
Floating remains a low-risk activity. Very few people are present at the float centre at one time and hygiene standards are kept very high.
As part of the UK float industry, we feel a responsibility to act on current scientific advice. We are fortunate to have experts in the fields of microbiology and public health advising the float industry. They have recently given us some useful advice based on recently published research. The consensus among float centre owners around the country is to close now to avoid any possible damage to the reputation of this (still very young) industry.
Floating has many great benefits and closing now while people could really use some of those benefits was a tough decision to make.
At this stage, the most responsible course of action is for us to close for the time being. This is to ensure that we are doing everything we possibly can to mitigate the risk of transmission of COVID-19.
All apologies if you had a float session scheduled in the next few weeks. All valid gift vouchers retain their value. We will be in touch over the next couple of days with everyone who has an appointment scheduled.
We will make sure that no one loses out because of this virus. Please bear with us while we communicate with everyone personally.
As soon as the balance of risk changes, we will reassess the situation and hopefully get the centre open again. After all this is over, I’m pretty sure a few of you will be wanting to float the stress away 😊 . Keep an eye on our social media pages (facebook, instagram, website) for updates as soon as they happen.
Take care of yourselves and be smart
All the best

Revival Floatation Centre
Cardiff's first floatation therapy and relaxation centre located a few minutes away from Cardiff Central Station.
What's it all about?
A float tank contains 10 inches of super high-density salt water (400kg of high-quality Epsom salt is added) which is heated to the same temperature as your skin. This allows you to float effortlessly on the surface and achieve a state of deep relaxation. The high amount of magnesium sulfate in the water deeply relaxes muscles and offers many health benefits. Floating is a way of hitting pause on everyday stresses of life. It is an opportunity to organise your thoughts, release built up tension in your body and enjoy uninterrupted peace and quiet.
